卡尔扎伊在接受采访时称，他自从2002年开始就要求北约提供安全援助�！拔颐且恢币�，我多么希望他们那时能来”。
2月17日美国总统奥巴马签署了向阿富汗增兵的命令。根据白宫的计划，未来6个月美军将向阿富汗增派1个陆军旅和若干海军陆战队分队。
